I apologize for not writing for a few weeks.
As Project Runway begins to air Season 9 on July 28 Portland can be proud to see two of it's own designers compete. Not only are Becky Ross and Bryce Black Portlandians, they are recent graduates of The Art Institute of Portland.
Becky Ross has a colorful, fun style. Her favorite designers include Vivenne Westwood. Her Cirque Militaire collection (I'm not positive on the name) was a stunning addition to her portfolio.
Bryce Black designs from his senior collection were dark, asymmetrical creative pieces. Since his style icon and dream client is Lady Gaga, this seems right on target.
Black and Ross are joined by 18 designers from New York, New York to Snohomish, Washington to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. They range in age from 21 to 57. A few things will be changing on this season check out Lifetime's Project Runway website to see what and make sure to tune in July 28th at 9PM.
