Patterned Pieces

One of Portland's top trends this fall is printed and pattern pieces. Make your ensemble bold with prints during the dreary weather. Whether you mix them with other patterns or pair them with solids you're going to rock the office for sure. These are a few of my favorites from Portland boutiques you can pick up this weekend.

7 For All Mankind Black Cherry Blossom Slim Cigarette Pant-$198

Gentle Fawn Printed Maxi Skirt - $54

Gretchen Jones Carnelian Skirt - $378

Parker Screen Stripe Zip Jacket - $352

Suno 3/4 Sleeve Tuileries Flared Dress - $550

Tiffany Bean Frances Dress - $96

Pendleton Fair Morning Cape - $398

Check out these and more at Portland businesses and keep your eyes peeled for other savvy shoppers in to prints. Go bold and Stay stylish.

The Open Season Show was spectacular I've heard. (I couldn't go unfortunately.) Looking through the images I must say I'm impressed. Here are a few highlights. Images are courtesy of the Mercury, check it out for the whole collection.

Open Season 2011

The Portland Mercury's annual fashion show is here once again. Open Season always has an array of talented Portland designers and this year is no different.

Along with our own fashion celebrities, Gretchen Jones and Leanne Marshall the lineup promises an excellent evening. PFW's Emerging Designer Competition winner, Ms. Wood will be showing items. Along with Bridge & Burn, Boet, Coco Cardenas, Dawn Sharp, Heather Treadway, Issac Hers, Joshua Buck, Midge, Reif, RUKI and Sara Bergman the Bassanova Ballroom will be bursting with local fashion.

Get there early, Vitaminwater is presenting a design contest pre-show with Junk to Funk's Jen LaMastra and Seth Aaron Henderson of Project Runway.

Make sure to be there May 6. Pick up a ticket on the Mercury's website for $15 in advance or if there are any left you can pick them up at the door for $18. The show starts at 8:30; maybe I'll see you there!
